In 1916, Adeline Van Buren became the first woman to drive her motorcycle across the country with her sister Augusta. Her story is the inspiration behind our Quilted Biker Jacket. Made from 27 quilt pieces, 5 zippers, and 20 snaps, these intricate and structured jackets are the definition of wearable art. Featuring zippered front pockets, lapels that snap to the body of the jacket, epaulet tabs at the shoulders, and snapped tabs at the back of the waistband for an adjustable fit, the Adeline Jackets are a labor of love, from us to you.
About the Jacket: This Jacket was made using a Quilt that was sourced right here in Vermont. It is made in the "fan" quilt pattern using feedsack materials. It is soft, sturdy, and meticulously hand quilted with great skill.
